Watch a short video of an ESL Job Search Advisor as she describes her time teaching English overseas in Korea and offers tips on teaching English abroad.

Available exclusively to our graduates, at no additional cost, the Teacher Placement Service provides assistance with finding the most rewarding teaching jobs at ESL schools around the world. We have formed partnerships with many ESL schools worldwide that are searching for certified ESL teachers. Our Job Search Advisors provide timely job placement assistance to help make your experiences teaching overseas as successful and rewarding as possible. After completing our certification course, you receive six months of free service to be used anytime.

The key to a successful teaching position is knowing what is best suited for you based on your own personal interests, financial needs, education level, travel experiences, and of course, the actual job market. It is imperative to decide what your priorities are, as different countries offer drastically different living and teaching environments. Decide on your top three countries of choice. If you haven’t yet decided, refer to the Graduate Opportunities section of our website to assist you in the selection process. After conducting preliminary research and determining your needs, here is a checklist of suggested steps to follow when using your Teacher Placement Service:

Money-Back Guarantee
  • Step 1: Email initiate@oxfordseminars.com to begin your service.
  • Step 2: Send your resume and cover letter to your Job Search Advisor (as outlined in the initiation email you receive once you’ve initiated your Teacher Placement Service.) Your resume should highlight your teaching-related skills, and your cover letter should focus on why you are applying to teach in the country you have chosen.
  • Step 3: After your resume and cover letter have gone through their final draft, your Job Search Advisor will forward them to appropriate schools/recruiters, who will then contact you if your application is selected in order to discuss potential teaching positions. If your country of choice is in a region where the Teacher Placement Service does not have official contacts, your Job Search Advisor will refer to our Global ESL Schools Directory and Internet resources to assist you in conducting your own job search, and would be happy to review any contract you are able to secure.
  • Step 4: After you have been offered a teaching position and have received a job contract, your Job Search Advisor will answer any additional questions or concerns you may have.

“The school that Oxford presented me with has been just outstanding in accommodating their foreign teachers, and I am extremely happy with taking on this adventure. I am very thankful for this opportunity of a lifetime and without a doubt Oxford has made it all possible. At the drop of a hat I would recommend teaching English as a foreign language to anyone, young and old alike.”

– P. Sullivan, Teaching in Wuhan, China

"I have just secured a position in Cuenca, Ecuador, and start at the beginning of October. I'm looking forward to teaching, speaking Spanish, exploring Inca ruins, and visiting the Galapagos at the end of my six-month teaching term."
